city of lights

i had to upload this photo. doesn't it look fake? i swear i took it myself! paris has definitely treated me well the past 5 weeks . . . i head back to america on friday but i will certainly be back in this city some day.

Aux Anysetiers du Roy

Aux Anysetiers Du Roy was a restaurant located near Notre Dame de Paris that specialized in provencal cooking . . . using olive oil, aromatics herbs, and garlic. It was one of the first restaurants to offer grilled meats seasoned with Provence Herbs. At the end of dinner, each customer was offered the small "Herbes of Provence" crock, a special blend prepared by Louis Lombard.

These crocks are made in a small village in the drôme, near Valence (south of Lyon). Aux Anysetiers du Roy create their own recipes . . . Today there are many different blends for various foods including sugars, salts, spices, and even chocolate. The crocks are filled up by hand and look lovely (and oh so French) sitting on your kitchen countertop!

I visited a store in Paris this week that had all of their products . . . I can't wait to try their white wine vinegar infused with herbs of provence! I know Williams-Sonoma sells their Herbs of Provence, and for their other products, check this website out.

gardens : parisian style

would you mind relaxing there every afternoon with a baguette and a bottle of wine? oh the parisian lifestyle is so lovely! i'm only here for two more weeks and i'm trying to soak up every last bit of this experience. now i'm off to go sit in the luxembourg gardens once again . . .

these photos from sunday suppers couldn't be more my style. i've mentioned my love for mason jars many times before . . . and i love this natural look of the burlap tablecloth. the flowers are simple . . . and i'm loving how they are bunched together in uniform bouquets. so fresh and natural!

wining & dining in paris

i am studying abroad in paris for 5 weeks this summer . . . it is fantastic! i love everything about this city . . . especially the slow pace, relaxing meals. my friends and i sit for hours chatting at a local cafe sipping on wine and enjoying a parisian meal. santé à cela!

green & white

these images from frolic! make me want to have a green and white wedding. the two colors look so crisp and clean together . . . and very classy. i think i might like green and white as much as i love blue and white! the simplicity of it all is very appealing to me . . . now i'm on a search for more green and white ideas!

i'm in love with this beach wedding from snippet & ink. the blue and white nautical thing is really making me happy . . . i love how casual it is, yet still is so creative and detailed to make the night look and feel so special. and the plum jelly as party favors? love it love it love it.

Flower Bunches

I love this look of the same flowers bunched together in a vase or jar, and placed with various different kinds of flowers. It looks so fresh and casual instead of the "put-together" look of bouquets. Perfect for a Sunday Supper . . . which is where I found this picture!

these centerpieces from martha stewart are so fresh and beautiful. i love the simplicity of the topiary . . . so classy and casual. the flowers have an amazing pop to them against the solid tablecloth, and i love love love the different types and sizes of vases!

this picture is perfection. i've already mentioned a million times how much i love mason jars . . . and look how beautiful this sangria is! i love the bunches of fresh cut flowers instead of "professional" looking put-together bouquets. {i saved this image to my computer a few weeks ago and forgot where i found it .. i'm still trying to find it again so i can give someone credit!}
