Luxe Wish List ::

After reading Donna Hay Magazine's 10th Birthday edition (side note: BEST food magazine in the world), I was inspired to create a luxe wish list for myself. Some of these items are a bit more luxe than others... and some are way out of my realistic range right now... but I absolutely adore them all.

A subscription to Donna Hay Magazine
Mercedes Benz GLK350 {white, with tan interior ;)}
An elegant, beaded Elie Saab Dress {+ a fun event to wear one to!}
A linen headboard/bed {I'd love to add a big white monogram to this one}
This table to use as a desk in my room
A painting for my room of this photograph of ranunculus

Napa Valley Wedding ::

This is one of the most beautiful wedding I've seen to date. It's simple, yet very elegant. I love the natural colors, green and white flowers, and dark wood tables and chairs. This couple did a wonderful job working with the natural beauty of Beaulieu Gardens.

Banana Bread ::

I made this banana bread yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. I always undercook it a little so that it's extra moist in the middle, but this recipe will already make very moist bread. It's simple and straightforward. You can add nuts (or anything, really) if you want, but I like mine without them.

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter, softened
6 very ripe bananas, mashed (about 3 cups)
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cups cake flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add mashed bananas and eggs, mix thoroughly.
Sift dry ingredients together and blend with banana mixture. Be careful to not over mix the batter.
Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

For the Home :: Bathroom Design

I love all of these white bathrooms. Neutral doesn't necessarily mean boring. Each bathroom has such detail in the tile, countertops, moulding, cabinetry... all are so beautiful! Which is your favorite?
